Fruiting plants - A special treat for your garden.
Brown Turkey Fig and Jujube both bear fruit. The Brown Turkey Fig is a cold hardy reliable producer of tasty figs. In South Eastern Arizona it remains a smaller sized shrub to 4 or 5 feet. In warmer climates, this variety of fig can reach to 10 feet tall.
The Jujube is another profilic producer of fruit. It blooms in May and June, which allows it to escape a frost. The ripe fruit is ready in August or September.
Other plants
We frequently collect seed pods of native plants from the wild. This allows us to see the natural environment where these plants thrive.
Through out Texas and Arizona you, you can find a wide variety of Yucca's and Sage that are well suited to our environments. Today many varieties grow outside of restaurants or around shopping centers. Landscape companies choose plants frequently because they are low maintenance; some of these plants can be equally low maintenance in your own garden.
